Such a happy little guy on his birthday!!I have mixed feelings about Bryson turning one. I can't believe it's already here! And at the same time I feel like it's been a very long year. Just one year ago I was holding my brand new little sweetheart wondering what the future would hold.
The last several months have been difficult. He's had some nutritional problems and ended up needing surgery to fix a major malfunction in his intestinal tract. It was heartbreaking to have to put him through that, but had we not done it, it could have been fatal. Thankfully he is on the recovery. It's been a long process, but he seems to be doing much better. And is finally gaining some weight. Yipee!
He is such a sweet little boy, and I can't imagine our lives without him. I am thankful for times we live in, so that problems like he had have much better outcomes than in the past.
He has hit just about every milestone he should at this point, and with as mobile as he has become I think he may even brave a step or two soon.
We celebrated a little too! We threw a party for him last Saturday and invited family and friends. He had so much fun and was happy the WHOLE time... I couldn't believe it! He devoured a cute little chocolate cupcake and got some fun toys that he has been playing with ever since. (I'll have to post some pictures when I have some time...gotta get back to studying for my test tomorrow.)
