Family Letter- 2011

It feels like December is the busiest month of the year for our family. It's that time of year where I should be sending out a family Christmas Card, but I'm always so busy with school that I end up not having enough time to send one out. So I'll post one one here instead! ;)

This year Daddy E and I celebrated our third anniversary. It seems like forever at times, and other times, doesn't seem like much time at all. We have had our ups and downs, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I love him with all my heart.

As usual, we've been truckin' away with school. I applied and got into the nursing program and will begin in January. I am so excited, and terrified all at the same time! It will be a whole new way of learning. I can't afford to forget the things I will learn.
The end of a semester is one of my favorite times. All the stress that builds through the semester is finally over, and it's satisfying to know that more school is under our belts and done with. I took my first Spanish class this semester and have done pretty well. It's a complicated language, but if I can pick up enough to help my career, I think it's worth it.
Daddy E will graduate with his Master's in June this next year and he could not be happier! He has also finished another semester, and has two more.

Little Miss Sassy Pants is in preschool and absolutely loves it! She has made some new friends and developed a deep love of learning. She is so curious about the world around her and loves to ask questions. She also turned five this year. My baby is FIVE!! I can't believe it! She had her first friend birthday party with some of the girls from preschool and they had a fantastic time. Of course it was princess themed and I made a princess/fairy cake. It was a ton of fun!

Little Monkey boy is two years old. He is so much more rambunctious than Little Miss Sassy Pants was at that age. He has given us a run for our money. He's very curious and not at all shy about "learning by doing". He gets into everything...EVERYTHING, and makes messes faster than I've ever seen. I believe he is suffering from a bad case of "middle-childitis", so we have been trying to adapt to his need for more attention. He is a sweetheart though. He is my sensitive little boy and still loves to snuggle (on occasion). Right now he is potty training. It is going well, and I have high hopes that he will be successful.

Baby E is five months old. She's getting ready to start solid foods next month. She is sitting well, but not on her own. She can roll all the way over and scoots herself around. She tends to get stuck in odd places because of her scooting. She is very active and loves attention. She is a very happy girl and smiles and coo's all day long. We love her very much!

It's been an eventful year, and I'm sure it will continue to be so. I should really post some pictures on here too, but I'll do that later. Or perhaps I'll just put them on facebook. ;)

We are grateful for all the love and support we receive from family and friends, and we hope that happiness will find you too. We are grateful to have the gospel in our lives and are trying to keep the birth and life of Jesus Christ in our minds as we celebrate Christmas.

Merry Christmas! We love you all!

I think you are the most brave, ambitious, amazing girl in the WHOLE WORLD to tackle school with three little children. Seriously, amazing. I don't know how you do it, and I'm strangely proud! It's so fun to hear what you guys are up to, Merry Christmas!

I totally agree with the comment above me. You are such a role model. School, husband, and three kids! You're such a role model.
