Wow, it has been a long time since I've put anything new on here...
Since my last post, in sometime mid-July, lots of things have happened!
We celebrated Bryson's birthday, which turned out SUPER cute! I did a jungle theme; I even found an adorable outfit for him to wear. He had so much fun being the center of attention, but was a little worried when we brought him a cupcake with fire. He made some grumpy faces when we brought it closer, but as soon as the candle was out he realized it was all for him he didn't hesitate a second before he stuffed his face with a frosted chocolate cupcake.
He is such a smart little boy, and we are so lucky to have him. He's had a rough first year, but is doing so much better, and is finally gaining some weight. He is growing so much every day, and makes us laugh all the time with the silly things he does. He has started to walk and is getting really good at it! I need to find the video I have of his first steps we caught on tape.
I am so grateful that he is doing well. Dealing with his medical issues was very frustrating, and even more so when I couldn't get answers to my questions. He is such a special boy, and I couldn't imagine my life without my little "snuggle-bear".
Ethan and I finished yet another semester in early August as well. For him that meant finishing his bachelors degree. YEAH! And for me, that meant Anatomy class down and two more to go before applying to the nursing program. I have to say, that Anatomy was my favorite class I think I've ever taken. I really want to study it more and learn everything I can. Our bodies are the most amazing and intricate creation.
After our crazy summer semester we finally had some time to relax. We celebrated our 2nd anniversary up in salt lake and had a blast! A night away from the kids and being done with school was a much needed mini-vacation. We stayed at the Anniversary Inn, ate at a delicious Indian/Himalayan restaurant, went to the Tracy Aviary where I got to feed some birds, and then finished it all off with an early dinner at Olive Garden. It was so much fun!
The very next week I started school. I definitely had mixed feelings about it since I'd just finished a difficult semester and only had about a week and a half off. But alas, time must go on, and getting an education is something that is definitely important to me. This semester I am taking Microbiology and Human Physiology. Both are difficult classes, but I've made some friends that are just as determined to do well as I am. Hopefully we can help each other to pass these classes together.
I always feel a little bit like I leave Brynlee out of some of my posts. I guess it's just because she isn't doing new things everyday and growing as fast as Bryson. But she is still here. She's growing up before my eyes, and will be four soon. I can't believe it!! She is so smart; it amazes me. I've been thinking about putting her in preschool this year. She may need to repeat it again because of her age, but I think she really needs that kind of mental engagement. I feel like she gets a little bored at home and it usually resorts to watching a movie or something. She is a little social bug and loves to be around other little kids and she loves to learn. If anyone has any good suggestions, I would LOVE to hear them!
I will post pictures soon, and I'm sure there are things I'm leaving out that Ill remember to post later. So as for now...we are still truckin' along. Ethan and I are both back in school, so it's going to be another crazy semester. Luckily for him, that only means two more years, it is indefinite for me. :/

Man time sure does fly by! Congrats to Ethan for getting his degree and I have to say I'm jealous about your classes. I often think about getting into nursing. I just struggle with anything dealing with the face. As for Brynlee, we put Sebastian in preschool for 3 years. Mostly because he NEEDED the social aspect of it for the first year. I'm so glad we did it because he had a lot of fun and it was only a couple hours a couple days a week. :)
one day you will look back and remember the "starving student" days as some of the happiest. I'm proud of you guys...you juggle so much.
